Is it legal to download YouTube videos?

It depends on the video and where you live. Download only videos you own, videos with a Creative Commons or public-domain licence, or videos you have permission to save. YouTube's terms of service restrict other downloads.

Why is my download taking a while?

Our server fetches the file first and then sends it to you, so long or high-quality videos take longer. Choosing a lower quality such as 480p makes it faster.

Can I download playlists or live streams?

Not at the moment. MaxDownloader handles one regular video at a time.
