In the app, a profile picture is a small circle. Here is how to see it big and save it.
Tapping a profile photo in Instagram only enlarges it a little and does not let you save it. With a DP downloader you can view the picture at the largest size Instagram offers and download it.
Please use profile pictures responsibly. Don't use someone's picture to impersonate them or to bother them.
Step by step
- Copy the username or profile linkOpen the profile in Instagram and copy its link, or just note the username, for example @name.

- Press Get mediaA large preview appears with its size, for example 1080x1080, when Instagram provides a picture that big.

Useful tips
- The size depends on Instagram. Some accounts only have a small picture, and nothing bigger exists.
- Profile pictures of private accounts can often be saved too, because the picture is public. It sometimes fails.
- Check the spelling of the username. It can only contain letters, numbers, dots and underscores.

Wait a few minutes and try again. Instagram sometimes limits requests.
