Save a video from a tweet to your phone or computer in four steps.
X does not give you a download button for videos. Paste the tweet's link into the downloader and save the MP4. This guide shows how.
Only save videos that are yours or that the creator allows you to keep. Tweets from private accounts can't be downloaded.
Step by step
- Copy the tweet linkIn the X app, press Share under the tweet and choose Copy link. In a browser, copy the address.
- Open the Twitter Video DownloaderPaste the link and press Get media.
- Choose a qualityIf the video comes in several sizes, pick one from the list on the card. The best quality is chosen by default.
- DownloadThe video saves as an MP4.
Useful tips
- Choose a smaller size if you want a smaller file.
- The tweet must be public.
- A link ending in ?s=20 works fine.
Common problems and fixes
A message says the tweet isn't available
The tweet may be deleted, private, or marked sensitive.
There is nothing to download
The tweet may only contain text. If it quotes another tweet, paste the quoted tweet's link.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to log in?
No. Paste the tweet link and that's it.
Why don't some tweets work?
Tweets from private accounts, deleted tweets and tweets marked as sensitive are not available.
